The thousands of tourists, day trippers and locals towed on Miami Beach may have to shell out even more come next month to get their cars out of hoc.

South Miami FIAT to Celebrate Grand Opening with 'A Taste of Italy'
This VIP Grand Opening will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. at the new FIAT studio, 17220 South Dixie Highway (U.S. 1 and 172nd Street) in Miami, Fla. The evening will feature live music, food from Miami 's finest Italian restaurants, prizes, cappuccino, and, of course, the 2012 Fiat 500 hatchback and Fiat 500 Cabrio.

Victim’s scream scares Miami Gardens car burglar
A man broke into the front passenger door of a silver 2005 Chevy Impala in the 2900 block of Northwest 174th Street about 4 a.m. Jan. 16. The victim, who saw the man from her window, screamed and scared the burglar, who fled in a blue Nissan Maxima. Damage to the Impala is estimated at $200.
